洪仲丘的親生弟弟即將入伍，但哥哥才剛枉死軍中，正在等待入伍通知的他坦承「心情上受到影響」，家人也都憂心忡忡。
據《TVBS》報導，8月4日就是洪仲丘的告別式，洪仲丘案真相還未查明，洪仲丘的親生哥哥目前是陸軍十軍團志願役軍官，而最小的弟弟和洪仲丘有血緣關係，也是洪仲丘的堂弟，即將到軍隊服兵役。
洪仲丘案爆發後，陸軍政戰主任曾保證即將入伍的洪仲丘親弟弟絕不會受到傷害。洪弟大學畢業後抽到空軍馬上就要入伍當兵，他也現身坦言，很擔心自己當兵會碰到什麼，絲毫藏不住心裡對當兵的恐懼。
面對洪家子弟又有人要到軍中服役，洪仲丘姊姊表示，現在只要有孩子將入伍當兵的父母，應該都非常擔心，洪仲丘事件會不會再次重演。
