今年暑期，『人大女神』康逸琨的出現給在上班的屌絲們刮來了一股清涼之風，2013年6月23日，人大主頁流量暴增疑似導致伺服器掛掉，主頁連續幾小時無法打開。究其原因原來是因為高考結束後，考生們忙於網上選擇學校，而此時學校紛紛亮絕招搶生源。人大主頁刊登出一張單人美女畢業生(康逸琨)照片，因為其形象高雅、青春、美麗，被網友紛紛捧為『人大女神』。
據騰訊網報導，當地時間8月30日至9月3日，中國人民大學形象片在美國紐約時報廣場納斯達克廣告屏上播出。『人大女神』康逸琨也現身在形象片中。不少網友表示，如今招生時間已經過去，『人大女神』康逸琨似乎是在為下個學期做準備了。
雖然被封為女神，但是似乎康逸琨並不買帳，康逸琨坦言對於上主頁和走紅都很意外，聽到引發官網卡住，更是驚呼不可思議。不過她覺得『不是壞事』，但她對於獲贊『人大女神』不太能接受，忙解釋：『我不是什麼女神，希望網友也不要亂起名字。』
雖然康逸琨並不承認自己的女神形象，但還是有眾多的唯美照片被網友扒出。隨著『人大女神』的走紅，人們注意到其他高校官網主頁也有主打『美女牌』的。除人民大學外，還有北京外國語大學和中國政法大學，兩個學校官網上的圖片都是面帶笑容的漂亮女孩子。
