總統馬英九結束「賀誼專案」行程，專機今（21）日清晨6時半返抵國門。馬總統機場發表談話後，直奔中央災害應變中心，聽取防颱簡報。
總統表示，這是他上任後第8次出訪，除了參加巴拉圭總統就職典禮外，也訪問了海地、加勒比海「三聖」，並且在紐約、洛杉磯過境，這次出訪的友邦中，這5位元首都能流利使用英語，所以能與我方交談、討論問題、開玩笑、唱歌，進而增進友誼，是此行很大的收獲。
談到此行成果，馬英九說，簽了3個聯合公報，1個引渡條約，1共同聲明，個人獲頒1個榮譽博士學位，5國總統／總理還親自接機。

總統說，在國際關係中，有不少部分是人際關係，這次能與各國元首建立個人友誼，是很大的收獲；這些國家時常在關鍵的國際場合，為我國仗義執言，包括參與世界衛生組織、民航組織、聯合國氣候變化綱要公約活動；他也邀友邦元首來訪，最快11月就會成行。 (接下一頁)
